HSC mark and scaled mark (1 Viewer)

Can someone explain the difference between the two?
I was just looking at this: http://www.matrixeducation.com.au/atar/atar-calculator.html and got confused.

HSC mark is the one that the BOS gives you derived from your raw marks through ALIGNING/MODERATION.

The scaled mark is the one that the UAC gives you derived from your raw marks through SCALING. You do not see these marks.
