While scrolling through threads desperately looking for anything which will remotely assist me for English, I found this gem;

Hey all,

So everyone seems to be nervous/shit scared, so here are some sample 1/2 responses to boost your morale.

Everyone should be able to get a Band 5, because seriously... look how far you have to be from the question to get anything else.

Also if you're really interested, here are some Band 3/4 response. You'll notice that even though they aren't totally illiterate, they do have poor structure and lack the proper quotes/textual evidence. They're also very shallowly written, and there's no sort of argument or depth being developed.

A friend and I would search band 1 responses for everything for lols. Look at the EE2 major works that are band 1. I don't even know why they took EE2 if they can't put together a sentence.


Lol the band 4 responses are shit (inb4 i get band 2). That one essay had 'good and bad' in it so many times it made me want to cut myself. Like, you could use negative/positive every now and then and alternate between the two so you don't seem like you should be in English Studies (non-atar course lel).




And those business studies responses are hilarious. 15k candidates or so and probs like 90% of them write shit like that. I'd hate to be a HSC marker for business i'd kill myself thinking the world has no hope

Teachers apperantly are meant to sign a decleration that they will not mock student responses that they mark
