Hey guys, for eg in the English Standard Class, there are 7 people! Their ranking are:
1. 88%
2. 87%
3.60%
4.56%
5.54%
6.53%
7.50%

After the HSC, do u think the guy that come 2nd get scale down with the rest of the class or his HSC mark is similar to his exam marks?

I think since the marks range from 88 to 50 the marks become moderated.
So the top person will have 88 and the bottom will have 50
Then the all the people in the middle will then have moderated and evenly spaced marks.
However, I am not certain of this.. Don't take this as fact.
Hopefully someone else with a good understanding of this will post

The mark range changes based on how they go externally. For example, if the new mark range is 90 to 80, they will all get a moderated mark from 80 to 90 (highest ranking gets 90, lowest gets 50). Those who are ranked in between get assigned marks based on the relative gaps of their ranks. @OP, this means you wont get moderated down with your class as there is a large gap.
