So, I have to pay about $1000 apparently. I also just got an e-mail saying that there's been a change in the way Commonwealth support is run at uni now which also says that if I'm continuing commonwealth support (like HECS) then I don't have to do anything. So now I'm wondering, is that $1000 is what I actually have to pay off or is something fancy gonna happen before the census date?

Basically all HECS will not take place until census date. If you are on HECS, the fees you normally defer to HECS will not take place till census date. You don't have to worry about anything.

That stupid red text will always be there but then disappear after census date.
