most companies are hiring at the moment for christmas casuals. Just go to your local shopping centre and hand out resumes.
Or you can apply online for things like goldmark, just jeans, jeans west etc.
Cookie man at hornsby is looking for a christmas casual.
Valleygirl at castle towers is looking for a casual.
etc... just go in and ask, you have nothing to lose!

Yeah, just spiff yourself up and go up to the nearest shopping centre with a bunch of resumes in hand. It might help to bring a folder with school reports, references and certificates too, some employers like that.

Smile, be friendly and ask EVERYWHERE, even places you don't think you'd ever have a shot at. Somtimes the ones you're most scared of applying at have the most friendly people and vice versa. Maybe keep a list of places where you've applied, so you don't forget anywhere, but it's not really necessary.

Remember that a lot of the bigger companies (woolies, coles & such) have online applications. Also check the help wanted pages in your local paper, there are usually a bunch of takeaway places and other random jobs offered there.

There are NO jobs what-so-ever for school-leavers in Wagga... seeing that there is around 500 of us, that is a lot of unemployed people... The Uni people stole our jobs!! Just cos we had more hours that it was not possible to work due to education commitments!

And around here, for some stupid reason, they fill the Christmas positions starting from September and the last positions are usually gone by mid-October, instant starts...

if anyone wants a job in the hornsby/north shore area just pm me... pizza hut are looking for delivery drivers, you need your own car - average drivers earn about $12-$15 an hour (no tax) plus tips... please be aware that they will want you to work fri and/or sat (usually till about 8:30-9pm so u can still go out after)
