So, say you do one extension subject, totalling 11 units. If you do well in every test but, say, English Advanced, how do they decide your marks? Because it's 2 units, shouldn't that mean they would only take 1 unit out of your worst subject to determine your marks?

uac does it in terms of 1unit, i.e 50 marks. Thats why MX1, EE1 your mark is out of 50 because its only one unit.
If you have 11 units, and your one unit subject counts, then half of your worst subject will count. i.e if physics is my worst subject only have will count.

Yes but how does that work? How do they halve your physics mark? Which assessment tasks count towards that 50?

they half your HSC marks.
E.g physics HSC exam mark: 94
HSC physics internal mark: 90
HSC mark (has been moderated): 92

THey will half the 92, (92/2). Thus that physics mark will count. That 41 will be scaled and i got 45 in MX1, then that will my other 1u.
