Imaginative journey - Coleridge, Donnie Darko and (what?!) (1 Viewer)

Hello all, I am seeking advice about what texts to use for the journey essay.

I am currently using Coleridge's This Lime-Tree Bower My Prison and Frost at Midnight, and Richard Kelly's film Donnie Darko. Donnie Darko seems to link in well with both Coleridge poems, but I am having trouble finding another supplementary text.

I need a text that doesn't require too much explanation and that could possibly link in with the themes/concepts/ideas of both Coleridge poems and Donnie Darko.

I've just stumbled across Ode to a nightingale by John Keats, which might just work, but unfortunately it is another poem!

Does anyone have some ideas?

Not really. I've got two other texts that I have used for half-yearly and trial that fit in quite well with DD and Coleridge, but they simply are not complex enough. If I find another text, I can at least have a bit more choice for Friday.

Just fucking go with what you've got. Less effort. Elaborate/exaggerate a bit. If your other two texts "fit quite well" then bloody use them, obviously.
