In bromo blue (range 6.0-7.6), if the colour is blue would you say it is definately less than 6, or it could possibly be in the 6-7.6 range because of 'indefinite' colour change.
If not, are the in between range for all indicators be a mix of the extreme ends (e.g. bromo blue will be green right in the middle of 6 and 7.6?)

You can think of 6.0 - 7.6 as a gradient. The more blue it is, the more alkaline the solution or whatever (you got this part mixed up). I would say that if a question said blue, then that would definitely mean 7.6+, otherwise they'd say a "green-blue".
