He/she means what the concept of into the world deals with.

I think it deals with how a person will change how they act, come to realisations and change because of their going 'into the world', and deals with the consequences of such an action... but I really have no idea

Hey ive got the syllabus point and it says "students explore a variety of texts dealing with aspects of growing up and transitions into new phases of an individual's life...growth and change...examine features of texts that show knowledge, attitudes and beliefs relating to individuals who have ventured into new worlds and experiences"
