I'm having trouble with this question from fitzpatrick:

Prove that:

tan^-1 (4) - tan^-1 (0.6) = 45 degrees

I'm having trouble with this question from fitzpatrick:

Prove that:

tan^-1 (4) - tan^-1 (0.6) = 45 degrees
[Finding the tan function of both sides]

tan(tan^-1(4)-tan^-1(0.6))=tan45

LHS=(4-0.6/1+4(0.6))
=(3.4/3.4)=1

RHS=1

therefore LHS=RHS
