Okay, so my IP is going to be performance (monologue) and I haven't a clue what I am doing let alone where good monologues are to find.
I want a serious or funny monologue but have no ideas for it and I don't want to be cliched.
Does anyone know a good place either in the Blue Mountains or Sydney that sells good plays with monologues?
I was about to do something with Japan but since I read the rules about it all saying you can't do the same topic that you did in the HSC or another BOW, so that cancels that out since I'm doing it for my Art BOW.

Books of monologues usually aren't that great. Most of them don't have any surrounding context you can work with. You're better off getting some plays from the library and reading those through.

Howard Baker's work is a good place to start, it's both contemporary and yet draws from theatrical tradition as well.
