iPods - which do you prefer? (1 Viewer)

I know iPods have been done to death in this forum, but (to my knowledge) this thread/poll hasnt, so...

Personally i prefer the iPod mini.
It carrys enough music, it's a good size, decent battery life, has a screen, and isn't too expensive.

I loathe the iPod shuffle - it's small enough to be eaten and it has no screen. How do the owners get along with no screen?!

nano, aye? will it be smaller/cheaper than a mini? i've always hoped ipod would release something in between mini and shuffle.

Well... it costs more and gives you less memory... *insert more bias*

But yes, the nano is physically smaller.

I dont understand why they have a fucken colour screen though. Wont that kill my precious battery life?

My 20G has a fucked up 4 hr playback time.

but oh well. I use it more for storage than anyhting.
I can't really complain *that* much since it was a gift.

what generation is yours?

my gen 3 ive had since may 2004 and the battery drains about 3/4 in a day of useage (i use it about 4 hours a day and change tracks constantly)

I'm happy with my 20gb 4th gen. A colour screen would be nice, but this does everything I want. Without using a shuffle or nano I can't really comment on those.

Just a side thought, the 'ipod photo' doesnt exist. the grayscale models arent made anymore. Its pretty cool that all models have colour screens now (other than shuffle).

not if you paid more money to get the colour screen!!!!

but i didn't, got 60 gig ipod photo around march/april for only $530. it was $850 something at the time. how did i get it so cheap???

simple, originally ordered normal 20 gig ipod, but because they took so long to deliver it, they upgraded me
