hey all...

just a general whinge about Irish drama. :p

We just had our half yearly exam at my school for Drama and it was one essay question on Irish drama. Not cool at all. My drama teacher said "well at least whatever you have will be easier than that question" or something to that effect.

Anyway, if you Irish drama studiers out there want to get some practice with an essay question look at the 2003 HSC paper for drama, which is where our Irish drama question for the half yearlies were taken from.

Im studying Beauty Queen of Leenane and Dancing at Lughnasa- two very good plays in my opinion. We got an article in class during term 4 last year which was an interview with a professor in irish theatre and has written thesises (theses?) on the topic. Anyway, the only thing he had to say about Beauty Queen was that basically it was shallow and his view suggested that he strongly didnt recommend studying it for the HSC. We all got a little panicked about that, but our teacher assured us that this guy could actually be wrong.

Anyway, thats all i have to say about that.
