I do (rank + asm. mark):

Eng ADV: 1/11 87%
Chem: 2/10 83%
Physics: 2/12 90%
Bio: 1/14 80%
IPT: 2/5 91%
Maths: 3/22 70%
Ext 1.: 2/4 60%

My school isn't ranked high at all.

I thought my trials were ok. We did the CSSA ones - everything except chem, bio and maths +ext. were above 80%.

I hope to do better in the HSC than these trials.. the CSSA trials are harder, right?
I need to get an 85 for unimelb science and feeling a bit.. confused + worried.

What are the chances + approx. marks needed to get at least 85? (Assuming I leave maths and maths ext. out of the UAI equation??

Help!

Yep, you'll definitely get above 85, even if your school is ranked 6000th.

@housah0lic: haha strange.. i think it's because i edited it while you were responding. thanks for the quick response! yeah - funny how what I thought I would get 100 and then through the year go 'ok... 96...90...85'.. : /

@Halcyonsky & Pillows: cool - and thanks!

but then no one gave me approx. exam marks...

If I get say 82+% in everything except maths + ext. 1, can you still say that an 85 is achievable.

85 is totally achievable men . . . I do chemistry and physics too and i am so crap at them . . . about 80 for chem and 75 for physics . . . and look at your mark! Its awesome. You should be aiming a 90+ . . . people like me is also aiming a 90+ dont let your hope fade! Keep aiming high :D
*side note, you might want to bring your maths mark up a little :D

according to Einestine's calculator
u get a uai of 92
because u do 13 units you mathematics is not counted as it is you lowest and only 1 unit of biology is counted and ur mathematics ext gets the other unit

btw my sis did her hsc last year and when i had her results on the cal it was very close and i've also tried others years too and it still gives a very close uai

If you want to download the calculator just type einstein uai calculator on google and download the program it's very easy to use

good luck all the best
