Hey all,
prelims are like 9 weeks away I think
but I haven't begun studying for IDT and my Software Engineering notes are only from term 1!!!!!
All of the messaging about 3-4 hour study is making me feel a bit underprepared... I have maybe been doing 1 hour a week tops

EDIT: I've also just remembered this! I'm actually in year 10 this year so i just made my selections... However it's been brought to my attention that 2024 software engineering will possibly overlap with 2025 yr 11 courses... With this in mind, I'm choosing 13 units under the proviso that i drop modern in 2026 so I'm at 11 units... However this year's modern lines up with SofEng so does that mean its not worth having? aka should i select my subjects under the assumption modern will overlap with software engineering on the timetable???? I'm worried and its late

well, when i don't really have anything to worry about year 10 most of my brainpower and my anxiety is going towards my 11 subjects since they are stressful
10 is not top of mind for me right now if you know what i mean lmao

isnt prelims yr 11? also if you're in yr 10, realistically i dont think you need to study 3 hours a day !! im in year 10 and dont do that either !!

i studied all the year 11 preliminary earth and environmental science in 2 weeks before my prelims. it toke me about 3 hours a day? i think if you start now and study 1 or 2 hours a day maybe you should be fine to catch up

also keep in mind i handwrote my notes, so that takes longer than writing notes digitally

Yeah... I don't think you should be comparing Earth and Environmental Science to Chem

Yeah... I don't think you should be comparing Earth and Environmental Science to Chem

theyre very different subjects and chem is harder. but both still cover a years worth of content. im just posting my own experience for prelims to show that what op is trying to do is possible, although it may take longer bcuz theyre covering a harder subject, but still possible. i didnt do chem hence, im not posting how long it toke for me cover that.
