If i am doing an essay about the global village that speaks of the positive and negative consequences of living in the global village . Do i have to have related material that speaks both of the positive and negative or can i only have it speaking of the negative consequences.

For e.g.

Global village - Castle ( +ve)
Global Village - Castle (-ve)
Related text 1- Negative
Related text 2 ( if asked for ) - Negative.

It's better to have a balance, but yes, you can do it. Ideally, you would pick related texts that could be used either way.
