With the new hsc generation starting their courses it was thought that perhaps a sub-forum for ISP can be introduced so that people can post their questions there. This will allow all the ISP threads to be together to make it easier to search through and see if your question has already been answered. Have your say with the poll.

Im staying out of this one but I think its interesting that as of this post, 44 ppl have looked but only 6 have voted.......

btw...I think it has it merits so long as ppl look in the ISP sub-forum to help out (which is why I have moved some out into the open as they were getting buried in the other sub-forums...)

Considering this is bos' slow period an 8 to 1 vote is pretty good

the admins have a bit on their plates at the moment (uni exams etc) but it will get done soon.....

*agrees with jennifer re the 05'ers being lazy.....*

most of them are first time posters as well....

*looks at the threads he has moved and / or locked*
*shakes head at ppl's laziness*

Haha the 05ers are going to send snapperhead to an early grave

And as for the sub forum, like snapperhead said we are just waiting for the admins to catch up with things because they have a list of things to do a mile long

Application for ISP sub-forum made to admins so we will have to just wait.

Thread will be locked when this happens.....

I wasn't sure where exactly to ask this, and didn't feel it was significant enough to start a new thread, so I thought here was most appropriate.

We are in the last week of term, and the SOR classes at my school have not even begun looking at the ISP. In our 2U class we have received the booklet explaining what the ISP requires, but were told that we won't actually start it until next year. I was talking to the 1U people and they have not even been given the booklet.

It wouldn't concern me, except all the ISP threads in here are getting me worried--shouldn't we be spending our free time in the holidays researching, rather than next year when we have many other assignments at the same time?

I guess snapperhead is really the person to answer my question: should we have started yet?

I dont think there is a set date for when you have to do the ISP by, as long as you have it done before the final marks must be handed in to BoS. There were 04ers this year still asking about the ISP way after the Christmas holidays. The holidays are a great time to do it due to the free time, perhaps you can just start looking up info for the topic you think you want to do.

as ac said, its a school based thing so you are free to start whenever you want (if you know the finish date that is!). Generally, most schools either do them in term 4 or term 1 (have heard of some doing them in T3 but thats too strange for me)
I would use this time to work out your topic area and get it started as t1 in the 'yr 12 year' tends to be a rush, especially if you have half yearly exams+ its only worth 10% (?...Im on holidays so Im not thinking) for 2 unit people...is it worth stressing about as such? (ie why are you up at 12:06? Go to bed!!) Just start it as you have the info!!!
LOL
:)
