What makes St Marys so different from other schools, like what do they offer that other schools don't. I just need something to emphasise that I really want to go to this school but the words just don't come out of my mouth. I've done my Persona; Statement, but I feel like I should write more, so I just need help on what more I need to add to my personal statement.

In the application, there is a personal profile, this is where you introduce yourself, why u wanna be in st marys, etc, I was just asking should I add that they ranked higher than penrith on my profile.

theres samples online for personal statements/speeches from school captains and other students from different countries. They often, if not always, word it really nicely so maybe do a thorough google search

And i agree without a doubt. Never talk about ranking and never bash your old school. Both make you look shallow and your likelihood of getting rejected increases. Rather talk about how you are eager to learn in a new environment and form new relationships with students and teachers to further aid your learning. Talk about how you are excited for the new challenges that the school will bring you and how you are eager to overcome them whilst practicing resilience and hard work. You can sort of make it up. I just came up w this rn lol.

It’s not how many band 6s a school get that determines the ranking, it’s the success rate

I know but its a strange system, in 2019 a school with 34 kids got rank 2, and they said there was 49 unique band 6 students how does that work, unless year 11's did accelerate

Cos out of Conservatorium’s total exam entry , which was like 217 , 150 of them were band 6s but St marys has like 2200+ exam entry to get in the 200s Band 6 range back in 2017
