Just to clarify - the CSU Oral Health degree=/=dentistry? (1 Viewer)

The website says this:

"You could follow a career in any of the following:

general dentistry practice
specialty dentistry practice
public sector dental health
Australian defence forces (Army, Navy or Air Force)
hospital dental clinics
international healthcare
education
research industry."

Seems like they're dancing around the subject of whether you can actually become a dentist through this course or not. That combined with the fact that it's a 3 year degree that doesn't require UMAT also leads me to the belief that it's for more of a 'dental hygienist' type role.

If I'm looking to get into undeergrad Dentistry in NSW, then the B Dental Science at CSU is my only option right?

it would be best to ask the university about how you can use the degree; ie; "Can I go into dentistry with this?"

Yes, I can confirm that Bachelor of oral health ISNT Dentistry. But Bachelor of Dental Science IS dentistry.


Ps. Have some effing logic. Where in this universe have you seen a dentistry course which is undergraduate and is only 3 years... sigh

Yes, also would like to mention Dental Science's entry requirements are basically ATAR + supplementary application + interview so no UMAT.
