im so lost with how to prepare for king lear..
can anyone help me out?? there is just too much and i dont get it
i have till wednesday too!!

u need 2 know interpretations of king lear

so u have ur basic story, and u need 2 know that it has been used as a basis for other interpretations
u'vre porbably been told about them at school - feminist, marxist, familial, etc.

basically, choose a few important scenes, and a few productions (movies are fine). choose an interpretation that u think is shown in the production, adn then write techniques which show this interpretation, for say 3 scenes, and then do the next.

e.g.
PROD1 - interpretation - feminist
shown in act3scene4 and act6scene7 (i just made them up!) by... red clothes, powerful tone of voice etc.

PROD2 - interpretation - marxist
shown in act3scene4 and act6scene7by...

remember in the exams u can also talk of how u would stage an interpretation of lear
