I am currently looking to rent a room there about 8mins from kings cross station
Next to wooloomooloo wharf/bay
I like the view there and the atmosphere is great
Is Kings Cross considered as a safe suburb?
I saw many people smoke and drink alcohol nearby and also a lot of bars and hotels, so im just wondering if its safe to live around there

Wooloomooloo is worse than kings cross to be honest, there are ridiculous amounts of housing commission estates off bourke st amongst others. Finger wharf is the only decent area around Wooloomooloo.

Lol I walked through a street or two in Woolloomooloo a few weeks ago. All of a sudden things felt very sketchy (like Drifting said) housing commission in some areas which unfortunately fosters some unsavory people. It depends what street you live on I guess anyway.
