Anyone here been to Kuala Lumpur here??

I got an internship in Malaysia in the petronas towers and I have no idea where i'm going to live for the duration of the internship. Anyone have any clue if there are any apartment or places near the tower that I will be able to rent. I heard alot of people say malaysia is a pretty dangerous place to live, true or false?

KL is pretty safe. Apartments in the city are very expensive to rent/buy.
