I've been researching leni for the past week working on an assessment, and with one week left, i still haven't found much information on her as a director, not a cog in the propaganda machine for the Nazis, i can barely find enough information on her artistic and film making talents, which is what i particularly need for this assessment.
if anyone has any information related to this it would be of much help.

She developed numerous filmic techniques including:

*the use of telephoto lenses
*aerial photography, creating an powerful view and instensifying the atmosphere
*close-ups of faces
*slow motion shots
*she dug holes under the running tracks so she could film athletes from below in Olpympia.
*she followed the actor/athlete with a camera on wheels
*improved the mountain films genre with various techniques
*introduced and made an underwater camera, which she furthered later in her life


Thats about it, not really all that impressive, and if she hadn't have come up with it, no doubt someone would have around that time anyway....

yeah i have the same assignment. Pretty frustrating because alot of the info is based on opinion rather than fact and your forced to make your own judgement..........
