These are a tad repetitive, but I thought it might help to make sure everyone is aware of the past HSC questions. A couple are oddly phrased, but there aren't going to be any surprises.

2001.
i) Describe Leni Reifenstahl's role in German culture, up to 1933
ii) Asses Leni Reifenstahl's contribution to the Nazi propaganda machine from 1934 to 1939.

2002.
i) Outline the main events in the career of Leni Riefenstahl from the 1920's to 1945.
ii) "Riefenstahl was a talented woman whose major works were funded by and intended to glorify the Nazis."
- In light of this statement asses Leni Reifenstahl's contribution to the development of German cultural life under Nazism.

2003.
i) Identify the major features of the life of Leni Riefenstahl in the period 1920 - 1945
ii) "Leni Reifenstahl's only significance was as a propagandist for the Third Reich".
- In light of this statement, asses the significance of Leni Reifenstahl's work in Nazi propaganda until 1945

2004.
i) Write a brief biography of Leni Riefenstahl, outlining key events in her life to 1945
ii) "Through her lens, Leni Riefenstahl gave the world the lasting images of Nazi Germany"
- In light of this statement, asses the view that Leni Riefenstahl was documenting history rather than creating propaganda.

"Throughout history, many personalities have been judged according to their intentions and motivations." Assess the career of Leni Riefenstahl in light of this statement.

"Evaluate the rise to prominence of Leni Rienfenstahl from the 1920's to 1939."

I dont know if anyone else has noticed that the 2001 question for Leni, and the 2005 questions are the same - "Assess Leni Riefenstahl's role in the transformation of German social and cultural life under Nazism" <2001> and "Evaluate the role of Leni Riefenstahl in attempts to transform German social and cultural life" <2005>.
Reckon that could happen again?

I need all three source based answers on page 54 related to Leni

First question is:

1a. Using sources A and B, list the two events shown in the two photographs and so on

URGENTTT =D
If you actually had a look at the captions of those sources, you'd see what they're related to. Source A talks about the German Labour Service march at the Zeppelin Field, Nuremberg. It was filmed in Leni's Triumph of the Will

Source B relates to the Berlin Olympics of 1936 as the torch continues its journey to Berlin.

Again,

If you actually had a look at the captions of those sources, you'd see what they're related to. Source A talks about the German Labour Service march at the Zeppelin Field, Nuremberg. It was filmed in Leni's Triumph of the Will

Source B relates to the Berlin Olympics of 1936 as the torch continues its journey to Berlin.
b) You've got the various Nazi symbols in flags and monuments. You've also got the classical structures.

c) Classical Greek/Roman constructions of the torch site, and the fact that the torch bearer resembles what Hitler thought epitomises the Aryan race- fit, strong etc.

d) You'd talk about his socialist plans- how Leni thought Hitler could "reduce the tremendous unemployment that had already made over 6 million Germans unhappy and desperate".

for question a) I said
There are two features of Nazi state presented in the photograph. The first feature that is displayed is the Nazi logo called “Swastika”. It is an equilateral cross with its arms bent at right angles and has been presented in the photograph on a flag and a monument. The monument is at a highly predominant level where it is visible to all audiences and hence shows the significance of Nazi’s beliefs. It reinforces the idea that these German Labour Service Men are supporters of the Nazi Party with reference to the “Swastika” and hence highlights the significance of their loyalty as an “Aryan” to be marching on a parade and promoting Hitler as a savior.
Another feature of the Nazi state presented is ____________
now i have no idea what to talk bout for classical structures

'outline the film career of Leni Riefenstahl'

Due to the generic nature of the Personality question these days you wouldn't get that question but it would be what would be required for a question like Outline the main achievements of the personality you have studied.

As a teacher I would set that as a homework or in class writing task to ensure the students knew that content but I wouldn't set it as an assessment or exam task.
