Aye I dont get the whole deal of negative infinite limits. Could you please explain this example:

Find lim x ---> negative infinite x^2+x+3/x^2

The answer is

1 from below... o.0

I think you divide by the highest power and the x and 3 become zero (2unit limits) since its infinity. And since it's negative infinity the graph comes from below.

Think of the number line, if you go to the right you approach infinity, if you go to the left you approach negative infinity.

1 from below means that it's approaching 1 from the left side, so the limit is -5, -4, -3, -2, -1 , 0, 0.9, 0.99, 0.999 etc.
