someone similarly dissatisfied with family life, regardless of how serious or not the issues are

i am 100% serious about this. i will be living purely off youth allowance if this ever succeeds and that i can find someone to cope the whole thing with

Are you actually eligible for youth allowance? Simply moving out doesn't mean you get it if you weren't eligible to receive it at home.

That's a pretty horrible idea.

First off, you're still in school-- do you even have a job? Get some cash before you even think about moving out. I'm saying that your relationship with your rents would be even worse off if you had to come crawling back because you couldn't make the $150pw rent. It would suck even more if they didn't take you back.

Don't tell me, 'you don't understand', because hey, I've had falling outs with my parentals before and been kicked out of the house in Year 10 (though this was just overnight thank god). Since then I've just got myself a job and am steadily working up to getting my own place.

I say, for now-- kiss your parent's asses so they don't end up doing something drastic to you. The last thing you want is being on your own and unable to support yourself financially. Or, you could try moving out now and find out the hard way. If you want to save yourself some pride, just take my advice and suck it up.
