Just wondering... how are we meant to approach the local vs global in Lost in Translation? I see a lot of global and local values clashing in the setting of the movie i.e. Japan but not sure how it relates to the characters? I can sorta see that Bob and Charlotte are disconnected from the global but not sure how to show that there needs to be a balance between the local and the global because they don't fit in with the local either?
Sorry if I'm not making sense.
In short, any insights into Lost in Translation with regards to Navigating The Global would be much appreciated.
