hey guys i was just wondering what is the main difference between homeostasis and enantiostasis
and what is the diff between osmosis and diffusion
homeostasis is the maintainance of a constant INTERNAL environment (it is important because it means that all enzymes can work at their optimum temperature in the body)
enantiostasis is the physiological or physical changes that an organism does to survive in an unstable/exterme external environment (eg. grey mangroves excrete salt into their leaves and then these leves drop off - cos they live in estuarine environments where the salt level is very high)

diffusion is the movement of particles from a high conc to a low concentration and it is a passive process
likewise osmosis is the movement of WATER thorugh a SEMI-PERMEABLE membrane from high con to low con and is also passive

hope that helped you!
