hrm, quick life cycle, therfore lots of numbers and self polination therfore less variation in the experiment. I stuffed it up I think.

also that he used true breeding lines & carefully recorded information, as well as repeating each experiment several times.

He documented his work well.
He used easily visible characteristics (height, flower colour etc).

Exactly.

Peas - bred true charachteristics, repeating procedure many times to ensure consistent results.

i put:
1. He cross bred plants for two years to ensure they were purely bred for a particular trait (homozygous)
2. Repeated many times for accuracy and reliablity....also ensured measurable traits to work with

in each experiment he investigated a limited number of characteristics such as round or wrinkled seed shape so the effects could not be confused

repeated his experiments are large number of times which gave his results statistical verification

He focused on specific characteristics.....
Peas bred true for the characteristics he studied.
