Missing your Orientation Day (1 Viewer)

Howdy,
I didn't realise that my Orientation Day is tomorrow and I'm working. Just wondering whether its vital that I go and whether I'll be missing anything critically important?

If you've got something else on and can't make it, it's no much of a loss. Pick up info from other people first week who did go.

But if your just sitting on your ass anyway, might as well go if not only to have a look at the people you'll be spending the next few years with.

Eh I very nearly fell asleep in mine. Unfortunately the person next to me wouldn't play connect 4 despite being bored also. Dead set the stuff they talked about would have been ok earlier on eg at info day where there was nothing. Also went over what subs were about. It was useless since we had researched before enrolling!

Will there be another opportunity to sign up to clubs? Or, would I have to go along to one of their meetings and sign up whenever they meet?

I know that they have an O Day on Wednesday, but again I can't go. fml

What about missing the Friday whenthey have the introduction lectures on? I've got to go back to my high school for an award and where a suit. So either I gotta change or wear a suit to orientation day..

Orientation meetings are pretty useless in my experience.

Agreed. My faculty orientation meeting was boring and totally pointless. I'm glad I went though because I met some cool people at mine that I was able to hang with during O-week festivities.

Yeah, according to my friend, I didn't miss out on much at all. There weren't even stalls open.
