Okay, I'm sure my English teacher mentioned this at some point, but it is possible to do a series of short stories, right? As long as the total word count doesn't exceed 8000 words. I've never seen someone do more than one -- it always seems to be one story making up the entire word count -- and also on the marking guide it said something about how good responses made a "sustained" story. Does this mean it's supposed to be one long story?

Thanks!

You can do multiple stories, so long as they link with a common theme/motif or something like that. As long as it's within the word count, and has relation to Advanced/Extension courses, I don't think it matters? Regardless, I'm doing 3 linked by a singular protagonist :)

^ Btw, I think "sustained" just means it makes constant links, or is linked, to each story. Doesn't require one long composition.

Yes, you are allowed to make multiple stories. But they are in the frame of one 'major work' so they should all have a common theme.
