Hi guys , just asking a couple of questions. Well here is the situation

Last year i accelerated two of my subjects and recieved the following marks which i kept.
Chemistry 90
Biology 89

Although they arnt the best i could've got (also due to laziness) i decided to keep them.
Now in a bit of pickle :S , i bombed out my half yearlies for ext 1 math and 2U math ,

For math i didnt do too many papers , and our school gives relatively hard exams , yet i choked on both math exams i knew i could get a much better result, that being said i know i did quite horrible leaving out quite a number of marks and panicking ( leading to mistakes).

My task one rank wasnt too good ( thanks to them being nicely placed a week after my HSC exams) for 3 unit math or 2 unit math and i promised id do much better for the rest of the exams.

i know this has been asked before but could i possibly turn this trainwreck around? i have 60% left of assesment marks ( 40% for my trials) , given that i want to reach a goal of at least 92% for both 2unit and 3 Unit math.

Also is it possible i get recieve an atar of around 96-97 if i do pull it off given my other marks? (also do busines not going to bad )

Thanks for your help ...really appreicate it :(

Personally, I don't see a relationship between 'comfortably' and getting in band six range.

Despite how you have gone in this exam, work will always be required to get into a band six. Like Slyhunter said, you are far from out of the running. Just continue to try your best. At the end of the day, the last thing you want is regrets =)

i think you misunderstood me
I meant to get well into the 90s and not just skim it (901 or 91)

By comfortably i meant mark wise,, receiving say a 93-94

Think slyhunter made a mistake, it should say "why you ARE stuffed"

lol slyhunter says that to every fail that comes on here after they failed. He would even say that if a drop kick came on here on the first day of the hsc exams and said they did no work the whole year. 40% ,easy marks, lost because you are a noob. When I read someone " bombed out" that to me means like 30% or less.

Well good luck trying to get a semi respectable mark after those fails, you would need to get like 100% on everything from now on to even to hope to get greater than 90%.

Oh , and get a tutor :p HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHH. "My school sets hard tests" .... tsk tsk excuses excuses, no wonder you fail. Even top selective and private schools have fairly standard and reasonable tests.

Enjoy getting a shit mark, you should have got help earlier, I was telling all you little smartasses "Better to get help sooner rather than later" in my tutoring ad, and none of you listened , so enjoy getting a crap mark

The smart person would have taken the advice, gotten help BEFORE the half yearlies and before they lost 40% of easy marks

you said you didn't do as well in your accelerated subjects because of laziness

you say you didn't do much past papers for maths (which shows poor time managemen if not laziness)

why convince us you'll work harder?
