Hey all,

I realise that the mandatory topic is 'Music of the Last 25 years (Australian focus)'.

I have two pieces that fit this topic out of my core and 2 elective pieces.

I have a piece called 'Movements' by Stephen Yates (Australian) and another called 'Oh So Insistent' by Andrew Bird (American).

I think I probably play the American piece better, does this mean I should select it as my core piece (as it's worth more marks?) or would it be better to go with 'Movements' as it is actually Australian?

Many thanks!

I believe your core piece HAS to be Australian and composed in the last 25 years. I don't think you would be allowed to choose and the American one. I had a similar problem and had to stick with my Australian one :(

Yeah this ^^ your core has to be by an Australian composer and written in the last 25 years. If it doesn't fit this requirement then you will get a mark of 0.
