after seeing my 60-65 UAI, its now HSC ONLY during the week. no computer, internet, music, nothing but work during the week.

funny thing is, its good that hes doing this, cause i would get a uai of 60 if he doesnt

Don't lose your mind.

Study is only productive when you're alert and consciously learning... just starring at books or notes will not neccessary help you.

Go get some fresh air once in a while, and drink lots of water.

i need a 90 but i'm not worried. still get pissed all the time (not during the week)and enjoy my self

I used to force myself no computer, no music, no luxuries but just study, yet I never got around too it, but when I gave the general rule of thumb of "every 2 hours of study, 30 minutes of computer"- worked out pretty well and I feel more relax and inclined to study

Yeah im the same as u, im looking at a 95+ UAI, should be alright given that im doing pretty well at school. But it would be nice to get 99.3+ but that would require some intense work. Ive got 3 parties lined up for the next three weeks so it should be good, because u have to have fun, and balance it with some hardcore study.

if you do work 3 times a week you are ahead of probably 98% of the cohort. That is all.

Not saying I think your dad has the wrong idea, but I think your dad has the wrong idea. What's he gonna do when you move out and get a job, or go to uni? Ring you every day and tell you to keep working?

Does he realise that you will sit there just doodling and doing unconstructive things? If you force someone to study in a bad way, it can work against you because you'll just lose your mind. I tend to set goals, and get up and walk around the house every 2 hours, or "I'll just finish this page, then I can go play with the cat." It's lame, but it works. Especially on doing actual assignments.
