Myer v David Jones (1 Viewer)

Anyone who works for Myer or David Jones find it very annoying how we are always competing with each other?

I work for Myer, and this business with moving up the stocktake sale to compete with David Jones is just frustrating. Re-organising all staff hours, and all the nonsense that goes on with moving such a big thing around and so suddenly is just stupid.

Any thoughts?

I used to work at myer.
The competition is ridiculous.
At towers, where i worked, beofre christmas dj's decided to stay open till 10, so we decided to stay open till 12.
Then the night before christmas eve, dj's stayed open till 12, we stayed open ALL FREAKING NIGHT!!!!!!!!
and there was NO ONE in the store.
grrr...

I hate staying open late into the night like that....although I try to look on the bright side - I am getting paid to chat with fellow staff members, whilst having a lie down on the beds, or relaxing on the lounges

yeah well that all nighter, we all brought in food and drinks and had a feast in the second changing rooms, which are used for storage.
it was funny when the manager came around and gave us all chocolate.

yeah we did.
i think from like 10-12 you got time and a half, 12-5 double time or somehting random like that. They split it up.

You'd have to ask someone who still works there, i cna't remember.
