hey, i'm not too familiar with writing lab reports. when you do a background research/introduction section, should you focus more at the inquiry question or more on the scientific theory?
what i mean is: for example, given that my inquiry question is "how accurate is the quoted value for acetic acid concentration in [household] vinegar? (using titrimetric analysis)" and that the expected range should be at around 4%(w/w) (as per regulations given by research & labels)
should i elaborate more on the technical side (i.e. explain titration, bronsted-lowry acids, pH indicators, equilibrium), or should i focus more on explaining health benefits of vinegar & why it needs to be diluted to around 4% for commercial use (linking to inquiry q.), etc?
doing both is possible, but given that a wordcount exists and i HAVE to focus on one more than the other to a degree, which should i focus more one? thanks in advance
