The texts aren't important, what i REALLY (i.e, i'm utterly desperate) need is for someone to clarify the question and what its asking me to do

Evaluate the effectiveness of the [inserts texts here] in representing journeys.

from my understanding, evaluate questions are asking you to make a judgement on the texts' worth. how well do text 1 and 2 convey journey? which is better, and why?

i.e. "this text is effective in representing journeys because of blah blah blah, but this text is more effective in representing journeys because"

my history teacher sets questions like this all the time, and they say you should actually use the word evaluate in your answer, too... ie "this text can be evaluated as ineffective in representing journeys, because"

does that make sense? don't know if that's any help to you, but i hope so.
