primary research methodologies refers to methods in which you performed a first hand investigation like surveys you performed with certain people

while secondary research methodologies refers to information that has been processed like the internet, books (encyclopaedia), films

Primary methodologies are those that involve the researchers actively gathering information. e.g. an interview, questionnaires etc.

Secondary methodologies are those that involve using someone elses information. e.g. content analysis.

You need to use BOTH for your PIP research.

You go from an idea --> hypothesis --> Structural framework --> Supported by evidence gathered from primary methodologies --> further support from secondary information --> Conclusion
