Generally you take notes in class or look at your textbook. Maybe you should have worked 
I'm guessing your trials are over now, how did they go?
And if ever you find yourself in this situation for the HSC, i.e. One week to study for it, then I highly recommend getting a copy of Excel or Copeland Engineering Studies. These will give a very good general overview of the course to look at in a week.
But you should learn from your trial cramming, afterall thats what they are there for
