Monetary Stance: Contractionary due to 12 consecutive interest rate rises.

Fiscal Stance: Mildy Expansionary due to cyclical factors reaping in large fiscal balances and large amounts of tax cuts.

but remember to mention that superficially, fiscal policy may be seen as contractionary due to the increased budget surplus. it is only some of the content of the budget that has made it mildly expansionary --> that would be a good way to branch into a fiscal essay.

What do you mean by this? What's the point of knowing the specific situations of the past?

Anyway with fiscal you could discuss under numerous headings. Budget outcome - contractionary (as cal said above) but then cyclical and structural components are actually expansionary.
