Hey guys,
I need some help with bbr....here are the questions.....would love if anyone could help...
1. Explain why classical physics couldn't solve black body radiation.
2. What is the theory proposed by Plank on black body radiation?

Any help would be amazing :)

1. The classical theory states that the emission of electrons is independent of the frequency, while Quantum particle theory states that the emission is frequency dependent and have momentum.

2. Planck simply hypothesised that the energy emitted from Black Body Radiation was quantised, hence was released in the form of "packets" of energy/radiation. This is known as quantum of radiation and this quanta could be measured. Then you can talk about how Planck showed/discovered that the quanta of energy/radiation released from a Black Body was proportional to it's frequency........... Hence E = hf where "E" is the energy of the photon, 'f' is the frequency of the photon, and 'h' is Planck's constant.

Hope this helps :D
