i need some help with working out net ionic equations for these tests
in a prac, we tested an unknown substance. we found the negative ions to be
chloride
and the positive ions to be
calcium and lead(II)
to test for the chloride ions, we reacted it with a couple of drops of silver nitrate solution. and a white precipitate formed, meaning chloride ions
for lead(ii) we added a few drops of potassium ferricyde soln. and i yellow precipitate formed, meaning lead(ii) ions
then for calcium we added 10 drops of 1mol/L sodium carbonate soln, got the fizzing, did flame test, and got red flame, meaning calcium.
now this is the part were i am stuck, i'm really bad at net ionic equations. is it possible for someone to help ?
