hey people
What is the importance of Newtons force of attraction law in the orbits of satellites?
all i can find is that it was used to calculate keplars law of periods and also velocity in terms of radius and mass... is this right or do i need something else...

yeah, i think that's all you need to know. Kepler's law is a direct consequence of Newton's formula, which is used to calculate the motion of satellites.

Newton's Law allows you to calculate the gravitational force acting on the satellite to keep it in orbit, and from this and Kepler's Law the altitue to keep the satellite with a set period.
