Hey i will be doing nursing this year and i was just wondering what the work load is like. eg what is the theory/prac ratio.

For prac you have to complete 32 weeks of clinical experience over the entire degree (which is more than any other uni has). Not sure about the work load is for the theory part - but my friend who does nursing comes out partying with us all the time when she isnt on prac and still gets pretty good marks.

I was told last year nursing student generally have the most amount of contact hours. All my nursing unit guides state your expected to do at least 6 or 7 hours each week reading and summarising topic material, writing out lab reports. Plus you need to spend additional time studying for quizzes and end of semester exams.

I only did half of first year nursing last year (2x nursing units & 2x foundation units) so I've obviously left out a lot of info here .
