Probs not the rt place to ask this but I have nothing else so I'll ask anyway...
Anyone know if Wilkins public school is good? My sis just got an oc offer and I wanna know what the proportion is of OC students from there that get into selective.
I have no clue I didn't do OC lol I didn't even know it existed but I heard the chance was a lot larger for OC students from my friends who did do OC... But from what I know Wilkins isn't that great of an oc school in terms of ranking...

After searching it up, it appears to be just a public primary school. I don't think there will be much of a difference in quality between it and other public schools in the area. Maybe check NAPLAN scores if possible .

Don‘t know if this helps but i have a few classmates (selective stream in partially selective school) who were in Wilkins OC and they’re all performing really well in terms of academics and extracurriculars

Late reply, but that's certainly not true. You can get into selective from any school, my primary school wasn't even ranked

thanks for the reply yes i know you can get into selective from any school because I also got in from some random tiny ahhh school but i'm just trying to weigh up whether the move will be worth it for her :< i don't think she's being challenged enough atm
and since the oc school is a public school, her school marks will also help her get in if im not wrong
(current school is catholic, so they refuse to help in any way, shape or form lol)

I've heard from OC friends that one advantage of going there is that they get harder assessment tasks, which can help prepare for hs
You can search up the school rankings of both schools on bettereducation, although the OC is probably better
