So the unsw open day is on the 4th of sept, I'm really looking forward to it. Now, how do i get there from the train station? Anything in particular i should see?

Get off a Central Station, and exit via the Eddy Ave exit.

Across the street are the bus stops you can't miss. Stand D will have 891/5 buses express to uni.

I'm pretty sure UNSW will throw courtesy buses. If not, its only $1.3 (concession) single trip.
