I am in yr 12 and am considering opitcal technology or something similar, can any1 tell me wat its like?

Don't know much about it personally, but heres some general info..

This is the study pattern that you would expect to follow for a MQ degree on optic technology:

I'm assuming you'll have to like maths and physics as it involves them quite a bit.

The first year is all basic science-y subjects, anyway.

You dont start the opto-specific stuff until second year anyway.

Bring it on, I say!

I'm currently doing the previous degree, bachelor of technology in optoelectronics. Will probably end up doing it over 4 years though, so I can do the new subjects, and to avoid insane timetable clashes.
