we had a day down at the uni farms for orientation, and then in late march we had a trip to dubbo, which is where i made most of my good friends.
definately go if they are offerred, at least at uni you will have some familiar faces

i know UNSW MEDICINE has a camp.
it realy depends on the course. althhough UNSW tends to have camps after uni started.. which defeats the purpose of getting to know people before you start, cause most of you's will already have developed little groups and stuff. ..

As someone said earlier, Macquarie has a general O-Camp.
There's also one for Law. Last year apparently the first year law students had TOO good a time. The place was trashed and some of the girls were getting it on with a different guys every night. Just what I heard...
