after catching public transport everyday for high school there's no way I'm doing that again for uni

What are the best options for car parking everyday at the Camperdown/Darlington campus? I've tried looking on the site and there's too much information to understand..

do you get a student discount or anything and what car parks/places are the cheapest annually and what does it cost etc. any info would be nice

parking on campus costs $25 per day, flat rate (after 3pm i think it is $2 per hour, max $6). It's expensive, and very difficult to find car spots if you come late in the day- I wouldn't recommend it.

I think Broadway shopping centre offers all day student parking for $10.

There are some free spots around in Glebe/Newtown, but these fill up fast.

Public transport is the way to go...

depending on your time table, broadway has 3 hours free. as long as you dont mind the walk to your car, its pretty cost effective.

otherwise... the law carpark spots are quite cosy....

Wtf dude?

Usyd is in the middle of an extremely congested city with extremely high land values and you expect to be able to drive to uni and find an easy park?

There are buses every 30s to uni, and heaps of trains at redfern. Use one of those - cars are expensive, shockingly bad for the environment, dangerous and add to congestion which costs $$.

Secret tip... Seymour centre carpark has no gates and is never checked by parking cops, but really you should feel morally obliged to get rid of your car or at least save it for going places not served by public transport

Yeah it's impossible to find a free parking space anywhere near uni during the day, and parking at uni is very, very expensive.


Broadway is your best bet, they do offer all day student parking for $10 but you are only supposed to park on two levels (although there's no way for them to check that since you take your ticket with you).


Public transport is the best way to get into uni. Remember that traffic will be hideous from all sides as well.
