Hey guys,

for an international student, how difficult or easy it is to take out semester fees from part time earnings? The minimum wages per hour from the web seems like it is $17 per hour. Is it the actual scenario?

My actual fees would be somewhat around $40k per year and if I take the $17 per hour to be the rate, I get a deficit of around $4-5k roughly... what are the ground realities about the earnings?

Thanks in advance!

Yes the current minimum wage in Australia is $16.87 per hour. However, since you are a student and under 21, junior rates which are lower may apply.

I'm actually working and now looking to do my Masters from Australia. Are the employers bound to give you minimum wages or is it just another figure?
